Our MISSION

Todd and Gwen each have a long writing history, even before earning their Master of Divinity degrees in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena. Todd served as a Research Consultant for Dr. Walter R. Martin at Christian Research Institute in Anaheim, CA and also taught comparative religion and evangelism as a guest lecturer at Biola University and Talbot Seminary. Pastor Todd is a recognized authority on comparative religion and non-Christian cults, having authored articles in Christian magazines and collaborated with Christian researchers for academic publications. His book, Mind Sciences, Christian Science, Religious Science, Unity School of Christianity, is part of a 16-volume set, Zondervan Guide to Cults and Religious Movements. He also contributed chapters to The New Cults by Dr. Walter Martin, published by Vision House and Handbook for Christian Living by Thomas Nelson. 

Ordained by the United Methodist Church in 1983, Pastors Todd and Gwen have co-pastored Methodist churches in California for 33 years. As a clergy team in the 1980s, they co-founded two active para-church ministries: Living Witnesses Ministries, a drama and teaching ministry, and Supporting Women In Ministry International (S.W.I.M.), a leadership training ministry for women across denominational lines. After chairing the Board of Directors for 13 years, Gwen now serves as its International Ambassador.

Both active in other para-church ministries, Todd served as a certified Teacher-Trainer in Evangelism Explosion, the most extensive discipleship-training ministry, and as an Instructor and Field Representative with E. E.’s Share Your Faith Workshops. Each also served for many years in leadership for the Walk to Emmaus movement and Aglow International, Todd as Area Advisor and Gwen as a Chapter guest speaker. Together, they published Our Church Mothers, Letters from Leaders at Crossroad in History, which shares first-person accounts of seven dynamic women who powerfully influenced the direction of the Christian Church through the centuries.

Aside from the great joy of leading people to meet Christ, Todd and Gwen have been leading Christian tour groups to the Holy Land, the U.K., and Europe since 1983. In retirement, Todd and Gwen delight in preaching at a Lutheran church and co-writing books together. They have three grown children and live in beautiful Washington State.
